On May 7, AMEXIO Belgium hosted its very first xDay in a long time at our office in Leuven. Information managers, IT leaders, and compliance professionals came together for a morning built around one question: how do you stay in control of enterprise information in a smarter, more compliant way?

What is xDay?
xDay is AMEXIO’s customer-exclusive event format, already proven in the Dutch market and now landing in Belgium. The concept is simple: skip the all-day lecture marathon. Instead, we keep the keynotes short and sharp, then open up a Digital Experience Information Market where you can see solutions in action and talk to the people who build them.
The day is built around the four essentials of a healthy information lifecycle: making content easy to find (accessibility), keeping it organized (control), staying safe with regulations (compliance), and using AI to make sense of it all (intelligence).
What happened on the day
AMEXIO and XeniT kicked things off, followed by Aquafin, who shared how they modernized the way their employees and partners work together and building a future-proof, secure digital workplace they have full control over. IBM took the stage on sovereignty by design: how organizations stay in command of their data, security, and compliance in an increasingly regulated landscape.
Then the real heart of the day opened: the Digital Experience Information Market. Ten themed booths, live demos, and AMEXIO specialists ready for the “how does this actually work?” questions. Attendees explored smart portals, intelligent archiving of 500 million+ documents, eIDAS-ready e-archiving, agentic document processing in action, OpenText AI, IBM Maximo, Docbyte and more… All the way through to deploying Copilot while staying NIS2 and DORA compliant.
After the keynotes, attendees had time to walk around the booths, grab a coffee, and dig into the topics that matter to their organization. Lunch gave everyone the chance to meet peers and continue the conversations with our experts.
What xDay Belgium left us with
The Belgian edition showed strong engagement: the right people attended, the demos led to meaningful follow-up conversations, and attendees left with a clear understanding of how the pieces fit together across the full information lifecycle.
